Trekking, hiking, nordic walking<\/h3>\n

Guided tours from the lakes to high mountain peaks \u2013 to protected landscape areas and nature reserve.
\nA network of hiking trails covers an unmatched magnificent 800 kilometres, at elevations from 440 to 2,139 metres above sea level.

Sablatnigmoor<\/h3>\n

A visit to the marsh<\/strong><\/p>\n

A wealth of nature for guests from the Klopeiner See \u2013 S\u00fcdk\u00e4rnten region in Sablatnigmoor to experience.
\nThe site where the present-day Sablatnigmoor has established itself was a post-Ice-Age lake some 12,000 years ago.
\nOver the time, the area and the boggy landscape came into being, bringing with them a rich variety of plant and animal life.
\nHere, you will find 1,700 animals, 300 plants and 170 bird species over 104 hectares. And something for garden lovers: Featured here are two carnivorous species of sundew and waterwash, as well as numerous rare orchids (for example, the marsh sundew). Fauna also need not hide within the Natura 2000 preserve. Birds, butterflies and frogs are particularly at home in Sablatnigmoor.<\/p>\n

Right next to our house starts the easy Klopeiner See Route<\/strong> (5.8 km) and the Kleinsee Route<\/strong>: (3.6 km).<\/p>\n

Mt. Kitzelberg:<\/strong> Easy hiking or Nordic Walking Tour. Duration about 2h, about 270 height meters. Passing the Kleinsee, before the Steinerberg, a gravel road leads up to the summit, the climb offers a beautiful view over the Kleinsee and from the top a panoramic view over the region Klopeinersee-S\u00fcdk\u00e4rnten. The descent leads along a forest path.<\/p>\n

Mt. Georgiberg:<\/strong> Parking lot in the curve of the Georgibergstra\u00dfe. Duration approx. 1 hour, approx. 160 meters in altitude – otherwise you could start directly at the Waldperle (+ approx. 1 hour). Beautiful easy hike up to the Wunschgl\u00f6ckchen on the Georgiberg summit. Not only the little old church and the wishing bell are a highlight, but also the view of Lake Klopeiner See, as well as to the northern and to eastern mountains.<\/p>\n

Tscheppaschlucht Canyon<\/a><\/strong> (45 km)\u00a0 Entrance to the canyon marked. Large parking next to the street also marked. Entrance to the canyon, walk and climbing through the Tscheppaschlucht to the exit at the road tunnel of the Loiblpass-Road. Right next to the tunnel is about 50 m behind the road the Tschauko Waterfall<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Trees, steel cables, footbridge, bars, suspensions bridges, carabiners – visit of the Adventure park is new experience for whole family.
\n87 different attractions, 8 different track levels, 2 spectacular Flying Foxes (300 meters long) \u2013 the longest Flying Fox in Austria, suspended 1\u201314 m above the ground.
\nFamily Adventure park in Tscheppaschlucht is a park of unique challenges. It is set up in the natural environment of trees. And this is what gives it a special allure. Healthily spend day in nature with lots of fun for everybody \u2013 children and adults, singles, couples, whole family, with friends or in groups. If you are looking for a fantastic fun day outdoor you should visit new Adventure park – Waldseilpark Tscheppaschlucht<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Wildenstein Waterfall <\/strong>\u2013 Gallizien 15km: The waterfall owes its name to the Wildenstein Castle, which was destroyed in the 1348 earthquake. It breaks out of a vertical rock face and drops down 54 metres into the depths for a spectacle to admire. Visitors make a short hike to the platform from which this wonder of nature can be observed. The ascent spirals and becomes quite challenging in the final third. Every step takes you closer to the noise and refreshing coolness of the waterfall.
\nA road leads to a parking lot, from where the waterfall can be reached in about 20 minutes on a forest path. Afterwards you can take refreshments in a small, cozy inn.<\/p>\n

Hiking Trails Petzen 20 km<\/strong> The Petzen cable car lifts you up to a height of 1,708 m above sea level. Enjoy a view of the Jauntal Valley plus the mountains, hills and lakes of Southern Carinthia. Let the impressions of unspoiled nature enchant you.
\nPetzen offers wide-ranging leisure activities, from mountain hiking, climbing and mountaineering to mountain biking or cycling, right up to a tandem flight with a paraglider. The 2,126 m high Kordeschkopf and the 2,114 m high Feistritzer peak are the most impressive peaks in this mighty limestone formation.<\/p>\n

Hiking Trails Saualpe \u2013 Diex <\/strong>With more than 2,000 proven hours of sunshine a year, Diex is the sunniest mountain village in Austria. The municipality lies at an altitude of around 1,200 metres above sea level, and offers a unique panoramic view. In summer hikers are delighted by the more than 100 kilometres of marked hiking trails in a mist-free location, and the municipal area is also crossed by several signposted cycle and mountain bike tours.<\/p>\n

Hiking Trails Bad Eisenkappel<\/strong> 25km: Bad Eisenkappel is a climate protection municipality, and is also Austria\u2019s southernmost health resort and climatic spa. But it is famous above all for one thing: the Obir dripstone caves, which are unique in Europe.
\nYou can find out all about the unique cave world and its animal inhabitants on an 800-metres-long subterranean adventure trail, with living dripstones, coupled with a fascinating multimedia show.
\nYou can also plunge into the peculiarities of nature in the Geopark Karawanken: the new information centre is right on the main square. From here amongst other things you can go on guided tours into the Tr\u00f6gerner Klamm gorge (\u201chiking on the sea bed\u201d), up to the Petzen or Topitza, or to the Drau reservoir water meadows.<\/p>\n

Hochobir:<\/strong> From the Eisenkappler hut, a hiking trail leads over the remains of the former mining and then over alpine pastures (past the “Cold Well”) to the ruins of the former Rainer-Refuge. From there continue to the summit with a fantastic view over a large part of Carinthia and the Julian Alps. Hiking trail to the summit about 1 1\/2 to 2 hours.<\/p>\n

z.B. Tr\u00f6gerner Klamm\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>(24 km) Klopeiner See – Eberndorf – G\u00f6sselsdorfer See – Rechberg – Bad Eisenkappel.
\nStarting in Bad Eisenkappel in the direction of Schaidasattel – Ferlach and follow the road accompanied by creek Ebriachbach to Ebriach\/Obirsko. At the Gasthof Srienc turn left into the Tr\u00f6gerner Klamm. Follow the narrow road through the impressive gorge to the rest stop at the end of the gorge. Here is also the water playground for children, then return the same way.<\/p>\n

z.B.<\/em> K\u00e4rntner Storschitz<\/strong> (30 km) Klopeiner See – Bad Eisenkappel – Bad Vellach – Seebergsattel\/Slovenian border. From there you can climb the Storschitz in about 1 1\/2 hours.
\nAnyone wearing sandals on this tour will land at the doctors for sure!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Climbing paradise Southern Carinthia:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The holiday region Klopeiner See – Southern Carinthia is an unlimited hiking and climbing area. Climbing enthusiasts can enjoy a climbing garden and reach dizzying heights in the process. Beginner climbers, on the other hand, should try the climbing tower in St. Michael, the climbing route at the Petzen.
\nMore experienced climbers should nort miss the demanding via ferrata and challenging climbing tours on the Koschuta.<\/p>\n

Cycling and Mountainbike Tours<\/h3>\n

The Klopeiner See – S\u00fcdk\u00e4rnten region is a unique Dorado with over 1,200 km of signposted trails.
\nWhether strenuous mountain bike tour or easy 3-Lakes-Tour: in the region Klopeiner See – Southern Carinthia every cyclist will find the ideal tour.<\/p>\n

Very popular with families is the Drau-Bike-Path<\/strong> (Drauradweg).
\nTwo-wheeled fans can enjoy a total of 333 kilometres of car-free cycling. 60 km of the network belongs to a section of the famous and scenic Drava bike path. A route to be proud of, taking in the Santa Lucia Bridge and the highest railway bridge in Central Europe, where adrenaline junkies bounce 96 metres into the depths while bungee jumping.<\/p>\n

Flow-Country-Trail:<\/strong> Enjoy the thrill of the 10km downhill Flow Country Trail Petzen.
\nThe Flow Country Trail Petzen has opened for bikers from mid-May. Covering a total of ten kilometres, it is the longest country trail in Europe and also offers three cross-country trails, an exercise course with a pump & dirt area, a bike wash station, a service and rental station and a bike school.
\nNote: The track can only be entered with high-performance mountain bikes (for rent on site).<\/strong><\/p>\n

Kunstradweg Bleiburg<\/a>:<\/strong> Along the Art-Trail to Bleiburg: an adventure journey through the southern Jauntal-Valley, along churches, shrines, healing springs, places of energy, modern sculptures, passing the highest railway bridge of Carinthia.<\/p>\n

“Bike into the mountain”<\/strong> : The Klopeiner See – S\u00fcdk\u00e4rnten region not only lets mountain bikers enjoy riding on the mountain, but also offers them courses in open-air mines. Helmet on, mine lamp on, the tunnels await…
\nAt about eight degrees Celsius and humidity of 95 percent, you cycle through the old mine, past breathtaking stone formations en route and into mountain halls almost 30 metres high – where you can greet the Lord of the Rings.
\nAllow around two hours for the seven kilometre course – accompanied by experienced mountain guides to ensure your safety at all times. Incidentally, this tour also takes you across the border between Carinthia and Slovenia<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
